Kobi Levi
Ο σχεδιασμός και τα παπούτσια ήταν το πάθος του Kobi Levi από την παιδική του ηλικία στο Τελ Αβίβ του Ισραήλ. Τα πρώτα σχέδια υποδημάτων του δημιουργήθηκαν κατά τις ημέρες του γυμνασίου. Ήταν από χαρτόνι τότε. Ακολουθώντας το πάθος του, το 2001 αποφοίτησε από την Ακαδημία Τεχνών & Σχεδιασμού Bezalel της Ιερουσαλήμ. Από την αποφοίτησή του, ο Kobi εργάστηκε ως ανεξάρτητος σχεδιαστής υποδημάτων. Κατά τη διάρκεια αυτής της περιόδου ο Kobi έμαθε τα εμπορικά μυστικά της ανάπτυξης υποδημάτων και χειροτεχνίας. Για την δική του αναψυχή, ο Kobi σχεδίασε μοναδικά, δημιουργικά και πρωτοποριακά στυλ υποδημάτων, τα οποία αμφισβητούν τους τυπικούς ορισμούς του σχεδιασμού, της τέχνης και της μόδας για να δημιουργήσουν…

What is it with shoes and fairy tales? shoes and folklore? I read somewhere that the Cinderella story originally came from China, which makes sense since they still bind their feet over there. Apparently small feet are desirable on women. Or a good woman must have small feet. Which ever came first. Cinderella’s step sisters had feet too big. I also read somewhere that a woman’s shoe is symbolic of sex. The argument is that it a shoe looks like a vagina, so portraying a shoe would be a discreet way of portraying female sexuality.
